Post-Demolition Soil Remediation and Testing

Financial assistance to help cover uninsured costs related to post-demolition soil remediation and testing

Thanks to funding provided by Parks Canada, the Red Cross will provide financial assistance to help those impacted by the wildfires in Jasper cover uninsured costs related to post-demolition soil remediation and testing to contribute to the long-term health of the community. Those who are eligible include:   
 
  • homeowners whose primary residence is in Jasper, and owners of residential long-term rental property in Jasper (including residential property owned by both individuals and businesses);
  • whose property, including primary structures and outbuildings, was destroyed or sustained major damage due to the wildfires, and required a demolition permit;
  • who have incurred uninsured costs related to soil remediation and testing due to the 2024 wildfires in Jasper. 
This support is provided thanks to funding from, and based on eligibility requirements determined by, Parks Canada.

This support is not intended for the following properties: commercial, recreational or short-term rental properties.
