Do you have a Donor Advised Fund (DAF)? Did you know that you can donate directly to the Canadian Red Cross using your DAF?

When you give through your DAF, you transform committed funds into immediate impact. Your DAF gift helps the Canadian Red Cross respond swiftly to emergencies and helps build resilient communities before an emergency happens.

Optimizing your DAF giving strategy

There are several ways you can donate to the Canadian Red Cross using your DAF. You can recommend a one-time donation, set up recurring gifts, or incorporate legacy planning by naming the Canadian Red Cross as a DAF beneficiary.

Your DAF administrator will provide clear guidance on the action you need to take to donate. In general, the following steps are required:

Steps to Donate

  • Log into your DAF account or contact your DAF administrator
  • Search for or request “Canadian Red Cross Society” as DAF gift recipient
  • If necessary, include the Canadian Red Cross registration number – 119219814RR0001
  • Specify the gift amount and purpose.
  • Include your name and contact information in donation details to receive updates on the impact of your gift
  • Submit
