Tumbler Ridge Tragedy

The Canadian Red Cross extends its deepest condolences to those impacted by the tragic events in Tumbler Ridge, B.C. Our thoughts are with the families, friends, and community coping with unimaginable loss at this heartbreaking time.

Vancouver Lapu Lapu Day Festival

People across the country were shocked and saddened by the tragic events that took place on the day of the Lapu Lapu Festival in Vancouver on Saturday, April 26, 2025, resulting in the deaths of 11 people and causing injuries to many more. The Canadian Red Cross worked closely with Filipino BC, the City of Vancouver, the Government of British Columbia and consular authorities, as well as community partners to determine how to best support those impacted by the tragic events.
