Friendly Calls Program

  • If you or a loved one are feeling isolated or lonely due to COVID-19, contact us at 1-833-729-0144 Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Atlantic time to register.
  • We will then have trained Red Cross volunteers contact you who will then arrange to call you at regular mutually agreed times in English or French.
  • We will do our best to accommodate calls in languages other than English and French but unfortunately cannot guarantee this.
  • If desired, we can also provide contacts for other support services in your community.

Services offered by the Canadian Red Cross in New Brunswick in connection with COVID-19
The Canadian Red Cross is supporting various levels of government with their response to the COVID-19 pandemic while also complying with public health guidelines to ensure the safety of its volunteers, staff and those being assisted.
On behalf of the Government of New Brunswick, the Canadian Red Cross manages the New Brunswick Workers Emergency Income Benefit, a one-time payment of $900 for workers and self-employed individuals who lost their jobs due to COVID-19.

  • The deadline to apply was April 9, 2020

 Also on behalf of the Government of New Brunswick, the Canadian Red Cross is providing virtual support for individuals and families requiring information related to self-isolation or needing support accessing community resources.
