Recovery Grants for Community Organizations
We are committed to supporting people and communities impacted by the 2025 Newfoundland and Labrador wildfires. We know from experience that community organizations play a major role in the recovery of their communities.
We are offering recovery grants to community organizations that deliver recovery services. These grants can help strengthen their ability to do this work.
Recovery grants can fund new or existing activities or services that are critical to community recovery. This can include the following:
- Community strengthening initiatives. For example, this could include initiatives to restore outdoor community spaces or events to support community connectedness.
- Organizational recovery by building or rebuilding the organization’s capacity. For example, this could involve specialized recovery training for staff and volunteers or other volunteer engagement initiatives.
