Government of Nova Scotia One-Time Financial Assistance
Registration is now closed.

On behalf of the Government of Nova Scotia, the Canadian Red Cross is supporting residents with one-time financial assistance of $1,000 per eligible household. Households must be approved by the Emergency Management Office of Nova Scotia to confirm their primary residence is unlivable due to structural safety and condition. More specifically, eligible households may include:
 
  • Households ordered to leave their primary residence by provincial or municipal emergency officials. 
  • Anyone identified by the Emergency Management Office of Nova Scotia to the Canadian Red Cross as requiring the emergency support.
  • Households staying in emergency shelters may be escalated to the Emergency Management Office of Nova Scotia for further assessment on eligibility.
