To quote Grande Prairie Mayor Bill Given, “Where’s the Party?!” Why, you may ask, was the mayor looking for a party? Well, it was because he was attending the Canadian Red Cross open house, showcasing our new office in Grande Prairie, Alberta, located at #109 10014 102 Street.

After relocating in May, we officially celebrated the new Red Cross office in Grande Prairie on December 5. In addition to the mayor and several other city officials, Sharon McLean, the Branch Coordinator in Grande Prairie and the other Red Cross staff were joined by the RCMP, Grande Prairie Regional College, Victims Services, Alberta Health Services, volunteers, service groups, Red Cross first aid Instructors, Grande Prairie Emergency Services, and other community partners.

With Grande Prairie only reaching a high of -26C that day, we want to thank everyone who braved the cruel Alberta winter to attend our open house and make it such a huge success!
