Super Bowl worthy Red Cross TV spots

As all football fanatics know, this Sunday is Super Bowl XLV – the most important game of the year! And while millions of people tune-in to see the outcome of the game, many people also watch for the commercials.

Super Bowl ads are known for being one-of-a-kind: creative, entertaining, eye-catching, sometimes funny or sometimes a bit serious. They are different from ordinary everyday ads simply because you want to watch them instead of running to the kitchen to refill your chip bowl, for example.

The Red Cross Movement has created some ads over the years that could easily fit the above description.  Here are some from our sister societies that we feel could be Super Bowl commercial break worthy:

Check on this ad from the French Red Cross for their Red Cross Days campaign. It’s pretty funny!

The Australian Red Cross made an ad to demonstrate the power of humanity.

This animated ad shows that the Mexican Red Cross can cheat death.

And this commercial created by Caribbean Regional Office of the IFRC, encourages people to make a move to help the planet and volunteer.

Below is one of our own that was shown in BC in 2009. (PS Go Steelers! Go Packers!)
