Last minute Red Cross inspired Halloween costumes

You know what is really scary? Having plans to go trick-or-treating or to a Halloween party and having absolutely zero costume ideas.

Well, you can cast your fears aside – we’re here to help! Once again, we’ve come up with some one-of-a-kind Red Cross inspired costume ideas that will surely make you the envy of your friends and ensure you will get some treats.

1. Germ – Eeeek! It’s a germ! What can be scarier than something that spreads disease? Dress up as a germ and teach people how they can keep them at bay

2. ERU Tent – as demonstrated here by Red Hot Chili Peppers front man Anthony Kiedis, you will surely stand out in a tent costume. But, we think you can take this idea one humanitarian step further and be one of the tents at our Emergency Response Unit (ERU). Once people hear about how you help to save lives, it’s pretty much guaranteed that you will get some extra candy.

 3. Chocolate bar – speaking of candy, there are many reasons why chocolate is a must have in your emergency kit. It’s also a great costume too.

4. Transportation vehicle – every day, our transportation volunteers help clients get to the doctor or other important medical appointments. Pay tribute to this program by becoming part of our fleet of vehicles. And, how cute is this costume?

5. Captain Preparedness – so many people dress up as superheroes for Halloween. Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman? Boring! Predictable! We made up our own superhero: Captain Preparedness. You just need some tights, a cape, and a kit full of super preparedness gizmos (i.e. handcrank radio/flashlight) and you can help prepare the planet for the next natural disaster.
