Last week, a 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck Pakistan's remote, mountainous Balochistan region. Since then, the Pakistan Red Crescent Society has been providing relief including medical services, food, and shelter and has mobilized mobile health units to visit those without access to medical services in their community. Thousands of people are without shelter after the earthquake that left 350 dead and over 500 hurt. The Pakistan Red Crescent Society anticipates the need for long-term transitional shelters, health care services, and further food supplies to help Balochistan recover from the extensive damage they suffered.
