Students urged to be someone’s hero during K+S Pink Day
- On February 28, 2019, thousands of students across the province will be encouraging each other to stand up for someone when they wear the iconic pink T-shirt branded with “Be Someone’s Hero” during K+S Pink Day.
2019 Red Cross Humanitarians of the Year announced
- The Canadian Red Cross is pleased to announce that Elaine and Peter Zakreski have been selected as the 2019 Saskatoon Humanitarians of the Year and Kayla Brien has been selected as the 2019 Saskatoon Young Humanitarian of the Year.
PAGC Volunteer Recruitment Tour 2019
- The Canadian Red Cross, with assistance from Prince Albert Grand Council (PAGC) is looking for local volunteers to provide assistance to their community during emergencies. We are visiting the below communities to share information and recruit volunteers.
Leduc teen receives Canadian Red Cross Rescuer Award
- Leduc teen Rebecka Blackburn was enjoying an afternoon with family at the North Saskatchewan river in Devon in July 2018 when she noticed a man swimming in the water was in trouble. She didn’t hesitate to jump in and pull him to shore.
