Geoff Simpson

Chief Financial Officer

A Certified Professional Accountant (CPA, CGA), Geoff has more than 25 years of progressively responsible management experience in financial and operational settings. He is known for his successful negotiation skills, his ability to achieve growth and transformation through innovation and his motivating leadership style. In 2024, he led the corporate restructuring of Hydro Ottawa Group of Companies. That same year, he was awarded CFO of the Year by the Ottawa Board of Trade/Ottawa Business Journal.

As CFO, Geoff is a key member of the executive team responsible for financial strategies for operations and capital investment while providing leadership and direction in the areas of operational planning and budgeting, contract management, investment strategies for trust funds, enterprise risk management, corporate reporting, and compliance. In addition, Geoff leads a broad portfolio of corporate services including but not limited to, supply chain management, facilities, technology group and project management.

Outside of his professional activities, Geoff is the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the Royal Ottawa Hospital Foundation for Mental Health. He is an avid golfer and hockey player and was previously named Coach of the Year with the Nepean Raiders Competitive Hockey league. Geoff is based in Ottawa.
