Environmental Policy

As an organization which responds to humanitarian crises, many of which are driven by climate change related extreme weather events, the Canadian Red Cross recognizes the importance of promoting and acting in ways that contribute to environmental sustainability and greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction.

Furthering our Environmental Policy Statement, the Environmental Policy sets out the guiding principles of our operational approach to sustainability, establishes specific targets for GHG reduction, assigns accountabilities for managing and monitoring progress, and includes guidance and direction on specific operational measures.
