Theresa Roessel
Theresa Roessel is a finance executive and corporate director with over 30 years of experience leading large global teams through strategic, collaborative leadership and proactive approaches to complex business issues.
She most recently served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Canada Diagnostic Centres, where she led accounting, treasury and planning. Prior to that, she was CFO at the Calgary Zoo. Theresa also spent many years with CNOOC International, holding various senior finance leadership roles including Vice President and Controller.
Theresa currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Athabasca Oil Corporation and CES Energy Solutions Corp. She has also served on the Canadian Red Cross Board of Directors since 2020 and is a member of the Audit and Finance Committee.
Theresa is a CPA with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary. Her volunteer work has included serving as Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee for the Calgary Police Commission, as well as Chair of the Finance Committee for Hockey Calgary and Chair of the Finance, Governance and HR Committee for YouthLink Calgary. She is based in Calgary, Alberta.
