Saskatchewan Flood

Note: The following appeal is now closed. You can support our ongoing work by donating to the Canadian Red Cross.

In late June and early July, widespread flooding caused over 150 communities across central and southeast Saskatchewan to declare a state of emergency. The Canadian Red Cross was ready when the disaster hit and worked in partnership with communities and the Government of Saskatchewan to provide immediate assistance to those affected.

Between the end of June and the beginning of August, Canadian Red Cross volunteers and workers assisted 540 individuals in 13 communities and provided nearly 1,800 flood clean-up kits across the province.

Your donations to the Canadian Red Cross supported Saskatchewan families as they recover from disaster. This support includes, emergency provisions, clean-up materials, replacement items for children, occupational and transportation support and replacement of essential health items.

The support from the Red Cross continues long after the disaster is over, helping people get back on track, thanks to the generosity of Canadians like you.
