Victoria Mitchell has been volunteering with the Canadian Red Cross since 2012 mainly in Emergency management. She leads a Personal Disaster Assistance Team (PDAT), responds remotely to large scale events, and conducts volunteer interviews.
A geophysicist by background and working in the oil and gas industry, Victoria has held leadership roles within several organizations in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sector. She has a passion for supporting women in science, engineering, and technology. She is the chair for the Atlantic chapter of the Canadian Society of Exploration Geophysicists where she works with other East Coast geoscientists to bring geoscientific training and focused events to the Atlantic Provinces.
Victoria has been a National Member since 2020. This role has given her a better insight and more holistic view of the organization and a better understanding of the challenges the CRC faces.
