A model of perserverance

Geneviève Boulanger and her husband had barely finished unpacking the last few boxes when their house was destroyed on the night of July 6, 2013. They had bought an ancestral home near the lake the previous summer.

A big-hearted family

In Kim Turmel’s family, 3:30 is when the girls get home from school. Snacks are quickly distributed, and the girls can play and relax until dinner. Today, Kim’s mother is not there, which is unusual because she is around almost every day to help Kim when her granddaughters get home.

September 30, 2014 - On Saturday, September 2, the Rouge sur Blanc event was held at the Grévin Museum in Montreal. The 2nd annual fundraising event of the Red Cross Young Leaders raised $28,265 for the Canadian Red Cross.

September 10, 2014 - Saguenay – The 15th Rio Tinto Alcan garage sale in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean raised $55,369. All funds will be donated to the local United Way and Canadian Red Cross.

December 24, 2013 - Last night, 61 people lost everything in a massive blaze that destroyed their 45-unit apartment building. The Saint-Lambert Red Cross volunteers were mobilized immediately and began by providing moral support, warm blankets, and personal comfort kits to those affected by the fire and who were going through a difficult time.
