Ross David Pratt
Ross David Pratt is a member of Muscowpetung Saulteaux Nation and an Indigenous emergency management professional, humanitarian volunteer, and community leader based in Regina, Saskatchewan. His experience spans emergency preparedness, disaster response, logistics, community safety, strategic planning, and Indigenous governance.A Canadian Red Cross volunteer since 2012 and National Member since 2020, Ross brings both operational experience and Indigenous perspectives to humanitarian service and national governance. He has supported disaster responses in Saskatchewan and deployments elsewhere in Canada, including the 2017 British Columbia wildfires and COVID-19 operations in Manitoba. His responsibilities have included personal disaster assistance, emergency response, logistics, team supervision, site management, and Indigenous advisory support.
Ross’s professional experience includes service as Emergency Management Program Coordinator with the Line 3 Indigenous Advisory and Monitoring Committee, supporting collaboration among Indigenous communities, regulators, and industry. His work emphasizes community preparedness, culturally respectful engagement, and stronger Indigenous participation in emergency management and pipeline oversight. He has also held security leadership responsibilities with Piapot First Nation and worked in emergency management and residential-school research coordination with George Gordon First Nation.
For the 2026–2027 term, Ross serves as a Director and Strategic Planning Chair with the Search and Rescue Saskatchewan Association of Volunteers. He is also Past Chair of Regina’s North Central Community Association. His broader leadership experience includes service with Golf Saskatchewan and the Raven Consortium, alongside founding Nisayé Advocacy Inc. to support mentorship and life-skills development for Indigenous men and youth.
Ross holds a Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Regina and a Project Management Certificate from Priority Management Inc.
Grounded in his family’s tradition of giving back, Ross is committed to helping communities strengthen their capacity, prepare for emergencies, and build lasting resilience. His approach connects practical planning, cultural knowledge, and collaborative leadership with a dedication to community well-being and Indigenous self-determination.
