Michelle Landsiedel started volunteering with the Canadian Red Cross after being impacted by the fires that devastated the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo in 2016. She first joined the Red Cross in 2017 as part of the Personal Disaster Assistance Team (PDAT) before joining the Emergency Response Team (ERT) later that year.
Michelle holds a project management professional designation and significant experience in industrial enterprise risk and emergency management, as well as large event management and stakeholder engagement. She is in her second year of the Royal Roads Master of Disaster and Emergency Management program, just starting her thesis research.
Michelle has been a National Member since 2020 and feels that being a National Member for the last few years has been an incredible privilege. The opportunity to serve with people shaping the Red Cross’s strategic future will help accelerate her growth and understanding of the emergency field.
