Heidi Marcon is a Health Emergency Management Specialist with Health Emergency Management British Columbia (HEMBC).
She has been a CRC volunteer since 2011. Prior to moving to BC in 2017, she was an Emergency Response Team (ERT) Supervisor and Logistics Team-Lead in Toronto. She also volunteered for two years with the CRC's Community Support Services program helping serve a weekly hot meal to Toronto's vulnerable communities. In 2016, she volunteered with the International Operations Team to prepare medical kits for the Emergency Response Unit (ERU). Over the years, she has deployed on several responses across Canada. She was recently deployed to YVR airport in a leadership role in support of Canada's National Ukraine Response. She is currently an Emergency Response Team (ERT) Supervisor in Vancouver and Provincial Duty Officer for BC.
She holds a Master's in Disaster and Emergency Management and sits on the Board of the Grassroots Hero Foundation and the Canadian Risk and Hazards Network (CRHNet).
