Denis has been volunteering with the Canadian Red Cross since 2007 and has assisted with more than a dozen emergency responses across the country.
As a bilingual francophone from New Brunswick, Denis has helped train many Red Cross volunteers over the years in either of the official languages. For the past few years, he has also volunteered on the learning and development team for the Red Cross as a facilitator.
The majority of Denis’ career was with the federal government, where he worked for 35 years. At the time of his retirement, he was a Human Resources Manager and provided advice and counsel to senior executives.
In addition to Denis’ experience as a front-line volunteer, he has also been a voting member of the Red Cross for the past three years. Being a National Member gives him a global perspective on our operations, which helps him in his various roles within the Canadian Red Cross.
