Tech Talk: Charge your cellphone with fire power

Your smartphone is an important device to have on standby in case of an emergency. However, if you’re camping in the wilderness or you’re at home during a blackout, it’s difficult to keep your smartphone fully charged when there’s no electricity.

The company BioLite has come up with a solution to this: the BioLite CampStove. This little stove comes in at 2lbs and can charge any USB-powered device such as smartphones, LED lights, GPS, and many others. According to BioLite, the stove lights quickly and can burn sticks, pine cones, pellets and other "Bio Mass."

Read more about how this device works here.  And just a friendly reminder, when using a campstove for cooking or charging your smartphone, it’s best to do it outside and keep an eye on it.
