Strengthening Community Resilience Through Indigenous Led Approaches
Indigenous Programs with the Canadian Red Cross supports communities through a holistic, prevention focused approach that recognizes the deep connections between well being, safety, preparedness, and resilience. Guided by community priorities and grounded in Indigenous ways of knowing, we work alongside leaders, Elders, youth, and staff to strengthen capacity across social, cultural, emotional, physical, and organizational dimensions. Through responsive services, practical training, and trauma informed supports, we help create safe, inclusive spaces for learning and collaboration. Centering local strengths and self determination, we support communities in reducing risk, building readiness, and advancing long term resilience rooted in their values and vision.
