Additional Roles with the Canadian Red Cross:
My journey with the Red Cross started in Water Safety as a Water Safety Instructor, Instructor Trainer, and a Master Instructor Trainer. As my personal career moved from the pool deck to programs, community, and volunteer development, so did my Red Cross experiences, becoming a First Aid Instructor, a First Aid Instructor Trainer, a First Aid Master Instructor Trainer for Ontario and currently a national Master Instructor Trainer for Canada. I have been a part of several other Red Cross committees, including Chair of the First Aid Technical Advisory Group (FATAG). I currently sit on the Canadian Council on First Aid Education (CCFAE) and most recently I was part of the Global First Aid Reference Centre (GFARC) as a Global Master Educator for the Trainer-of-Trainers (ToT) program.

Personal Message:
I consider the Red Cross as my second family and have had so many opportunities over the past 30 years. I was born in Ottawa, Ontario, and live in Richmond Hill, Ontario (30 miles north of Toronto), with my husband Warren and my two boys William and Michael.

In my professional life, I am the Community Development Coordinator for the City of Richmond Hill, which currently includes Volunteer Development, Partnership Liability, Subsidy Programs, Moonlight Movies, Community Indoor Garage Sales, and more.

What I love about being an MIT? Making a difference! We are a family that embraces each other’s differences but always connects and respects to produce a common goal across the country. Being an MIT has allowed me to travel across Canada, meeting great people who embrace the Red Cross Fundamental Principles.
