Personal Message:
My wife, my son and I live in a little log house in woods near Mission, British Columbia. We have a new Maremma cross (Italian sheepdog) puppy, Penny, that likes to bark at shadows or sometimes nothing at all. When time permits, I like to go for a motorbike ride.

Additional Roles with the Canadian Red Cross:
I am a volunteer firefighter with Mission Fire Rescue, where I became involved with the Red Cross and first aid training in 2012. I have facilitated many levels of Red Cross First Aid courses since then, from the PeopleSavers and Babysitting programs up to Emergency Medical Responder (EMR). I have found different kinds of enjoyment and fulfillment at every level of instruction. My focus lately has been facilitating First Responder (FR) classes. I find it particularly satisfying to work with those who are keen to serve their communities through gaining the skills and knowledge. These volunteers are making time to help their neighbours and it is a pleasure to be a part of that process.

One of the many strengths of the Canadian Red Cross is its willingness to improve. Sometimes change can be difficult. It requires us as instructors to change what we do, both in how we deliver content and the details of the content itself. I am happy to support the new methods and information as we strive to constantly improve our First Aid Program.
