Red Cross seeking nominations for local humanitarians
The Canadian Red Cross in Saskatchewan is seeking nominations for the 2018 Regina Young Humanitarian of the Year Award and the 2018 Regina Humanitarian of the Year. These awards will be presented at the Red Cross Power of Humanity Gala being held at the Ramada Plaza Regina on Nov. 2, 2018.
The awards are presented to two individuals in Saskatchewan who have demonstrated the spirit of humanity in a local, national or international capacity by:

- Promoting mutual understanding, friendship, cooperation and lasting peace among all peoples
- Contributing to the alleviation of human suffering, protection of life, or the promotion of health
- Educating the public on the meaning and importance of humanity and human dignity
- Promoting respect for human beings
