Friendly Calls Program

The Friendly Calls Program is available across Ontario and registration is through email only:

The Friendly Calls Program with the Canadian Red Cross is an opportunity to connect. Telephone calls are made on a regular basis by Red Cross volunteers who provide supportive listening, social interaction, and emotional support to the call recipients. Home and community care clients over the age 65 are prioritized, but this service is extended to any adult who may benefit from a friendly call to help reduce anxiety, depression, or loneliness.

The Friendly Calls Program is a free service with scheduled calls tailored to meet each recipient’s needs. Calls can range from a two-minute safety check-in to a longer social chat.
