Youth Action Planning
The Youth Action Planning workshop, a training in Red Cross's Violence Prevention Program, works with First Nation communities by invitation. Through the course of the two-day workshop, the facilitators collaborate with the youth to explore concepts of safety, violence, and hope. They build a plan that is specifically tailored to the needs and dreams of the youth in the community. Workshops can include training in healthy relationships, psychological first aid, social action, and community mapping for safety and violence (pictured above). The program works with Indigenous communities to support and empower a healthy future generation who will lead with hope.
