Red Cross Easter Bunny Delivers Treats

Beginning in the fall of 2020, the Canadian Red Cross in Manitoba has assisted First Nation communities affected by COVID-19.
Activated by the First Nations and Inuit Health Branch, Red Cross staff provide for the essential needs of persons isolating in Winnipeg because they have come into close contact or tested positive for COVID-19 and they cannot isolate in their home community. The support is both virtual and in-person and all safety protocols are strictly maintained to protect staff and volunteers.
Isolating far from home can be terribly lonely, especially during the holidays. Fortunately, the Easter Bunny found time to hop over to the Winnipeg First Nation Isolation Site on Easter Sunday to deliver treats for the children. Each child received chocolate eggs, crayons, colouring pages, stickers, and a Red Cross teddy bear.
