Oct 26th Saskatchewan International Humanitarian Law Conference

2018 Saskatchewan International Humanitarian Law Conference posterThe nature of armed conflict is changing. As a result of war and other types of violence and instability, more people are on the move than ever before. Today, the majority of people who are forcibly displaced are fleeing armed conflict and persecution. This conference will bring together experts from the fields, including academics, and representatives from the Red Cross Movement, to discuss current issues and the continued importance of International Humanitarian Law (IHL). Join us as we examine how IHL is relevant in today’s conflicts and how it protects vulnerable people, including those in various stages of migration.
