In this video, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) reacts to the human tragedy that is unfolding in Syria. The Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent societies is also calling for the protection and safety of millions of people in Syria and the region.
We've shared several updates on the conflict in Syria recently, about humanitarians efforts by the Red Cross movement to assist refugees including the deployment of a field hospital in Jordan, and the dangers facing Syrian Arab Red Crescent personnel on the ground.
The Red Cross movement is continuing to provide assistance to families affected by the conflict in Syria and in neighbouring countries that are host to some two million refugees. Canadians can support these humanitarian efforts by donating to the Syrian Crisis Fund.
