The Canadian Red Cross has been working hard at identifying and addressing the needs of people affected by Alberta’s floods. One of the ways that we do this is by heading into communities and finding out what people need, first-hand.

We rely heavily on our volunteers and are grateful that they choose to spend their free time helping out the people who need it most.

During one community outreach effort earlier this summer three of our volunteers had a chance to talk with Calgary’s Mayor Nenshi.

It has been two months now since the waters have receded and Canadian Red Cross has moved into the stage of early recovery. To see the long term plan and an overview of what we have already done click here.
