Since the escalation of violence in Egypt, 18 emergency and first aid teams from the Egyptian Red Crescent Society have been deployed to provide first aid services around Tahrir Square, Rab'a al-Adaweya Square, al Itihadiyah Palace, Cairo University and at gatherings in the provinces of Alexandria and Port Said, Suez and Qalubia. Some 90 volunteers from the Egyptian Red Crescent Society are supporting these humanitarian efforts.
