Each year, Second Harvest hosts a Turkey Drive at Loblaws locations in Toronto. Volunteers ask customers to purchase and donate a frozen turkey on the spot. Second Harvest is the largest food rescue program in Canada. They help feed hungry people by picking up and preparing excess food and delivering it to community agencies in Toronto, including the Canadian Red Cross' mobile food bank program which delivers food to people who can't make it to food banks. The team of volunteers pictured above collected a whopping 250 turkey dinners on Saturday at a Loblaws in Toronto!
