Photo of the day: Pumpkin madness in support of United Way Campaign

Guest entry by Randie Anderson, Communications Coordinator in Alberta

Every year staff from the Calgary branch of the Canadian Red Cross show their thanks to the United Way by hosting a variety of events in support of the annual campaign. The Calgary branch kicked off their month-long activities on Halloween by hosting a pumpkin carving contest. Staff and volunteers showed off their creative skills by carving and decorating pumpkins in teams, creating some healthy competition throughout the office. There was even a pumpkin carved in the shape of Alberta’s Provincial Director, Steve Armstrong! The United Way is one of the Red Cross’ largest supporters and has donated close to $1 million for Calgary and area Red Cross programs in the last year. A big thanks to United Way for their continued support!
