Zombies... and Red Cross volunteers

In Nova Scotia, ghosts and goblins aren’t the only ones creating a buzz around Halloween. Canadian Red Cross volunteers are also causing a bit of a scare at the Haunted House at Noggins Corner Farm Market. All for a good cause, of course.

Noggins is a popular spot during the fall harvest in the Annapolis Valley. Families come to pick up pumpkins and enjoy the myriad of activities on site. In addition to the corn maze, an old building has been transformed into the Haunted House, an utterly creepy experience for visitors.

Students from the local Horton High School and Northeast Kings Education Centre along with Red Cross volunteers and staff decorated the house and now dress up and play characters straight out of a horror movie along with helping with other tasks to ensure everything runs smoothly at the spooky attraction. Students from Central Kings Rural High School and local First Aid instructors are also doing their part by providing First Aid coverage, just in case some visitors suddenly faint from fright.

The Haunted House is open on weekends only, and is located off Highway 101 in Greenwich.

The unusual fundraiser is already in its 8th year of operation. The partnership with Noggins, the schools and Red Cross ensures a great experience for all involved and support for local Canadian Red Cross programs.
