I help people who give money to help other people.
I answer lots of questions and just take care of people who have big hearts and want to give.
The average Canadian Red Cross donor asks us all kinds of questions, everything from how to make a donation to how to sign up for a course to requesting a receipt for a gift that they already made.
Give me something as small as changing someone's address or a little bit more detailed as following up with information regarding our appeals programs, and services.
If they have a problem, we solve it.
Donors are absolutely essential to the Canadian Red Cross. Without our donors, we simply wouldn't be able to exist. People support the Canadian Red Cross because they know that they've always been there.
What they get out of donating to the Red Cross is knowing that they've helped out someone else.
Everyone has a story as to why they donate to the Red Cross. And, if you simply ask them, they'll share that story. I love listening to their stories. People trust us with their money because they believe that our work is very important.
The feeling of knowing that I was able to help someone that day or that I was able to bring a smile to their face, that's truly what makes my day.
