As spring floods threaten several Quebec municipalities, the Canadian Red Cross is asking for donations to help individuals and families impacted by the flooding who find themselves in a vulnerable situation.
QUICK FACTS
- At the request of municipalities, the Canadian Red Cross provides assistance to meet the immediate needs of those impacted by disasters. Among other services, the Red Cross can offer emergency lodging and food. Assistance is provided on a case-by-case basis, based on needs assessments carried out with local authorities.
- Red Cross teams are on the ground to help those affected either by providing information, referrals to other services, emotional support and assistance to meet their basic needs.
