Up to $2,000 will be provided to eligible small businesses and not-for-profits impacted by 2024 fires
Thanks to funds raised for the 2024 Alberta Wildfires Appeal and with financial support from the Government of Alberta, the Canadian Red Cross has announced the Support to Small Businesses and Not-for-Profits Program. The program will provide financial assistance to eligible small businesses and not-for-profit organizations impacted by the 2024 Alberta wildfires.
Small businesses and not-for-profits located in Jasper National Park, including the town of Jasper and businesses located along Highway 16 that were completely closed due to the wildfires, may be eligible for up to $2,000. Funds may be used to cover expenses such as storage and movement of inventory, clean-up costs, insurance deductibles, and other unexpected expenses.
Support for small businesses and not-for-profit organizations is essential to the recovery of people and communities affected by a disaster. This program will accept applications from September 17 to December 13, 2024.
