Canadian Red Cross support to healthcare facility in Barbuda

So we're here at the Hannah Thomas hospital in Barbuda, unloading our kits which will help us to to build a new emergency room here at the hospital. So we just finished setting up the emergency room in Barbuda and we are really happy with how things have unfolded. The room is ready to go. It's basic and at the same time can provide anything that an emergency room can back home. Just to give you a little idea, we have everything we need here to do dressing and deal with wounds.Full patient assessment, starting emergency IVs, personal protective equipment and extra gear. We come around and we've got the possibly to do two patients with the crash cart. It looks really simple, but within that cart you can do full cardiac monitoring and full resuscitation and hopefully make a difference for the people here.
