Standard Child Care First Aid Course

Enroll in our comprehensive two-day course and learn lifesaving first aid skills, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques, AED use, choking response, circulation emergencies, wound care management and strategies for maintaining child safety with a particular focus on childhood injuries and illnesses.

This course is designed to meet the first aid and CPR guidelines. It fulfills provincial/territorial early childhood education and daycare worker safety and legislative requirements. Join us to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to save lives and prevent injuries!

Duration

Minimum 16 hours in-class*

Prerequisites

This course has no prerequisites.

Completion

  • Demonstrate a working competency of all required skills.
  • Achieve a minimum score of 75% on a written, closed-book knowledge evaluation completed independently.
  • Attend and participate in 100% of the course
  • Must adhere to the Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross

Certification

3-year certification in Standard Child Care First Aid with CPR Level B.
