In Quebec, the Canadian Red Cross supports cities and municipalities in providing disaster response services, whether it be for a residential fire or a larger scale event such as floods or wildfires.
During an emergency or disaster, the Canadian Red Cross works with first responders, authorities and other volunteer organizations to deliver essential services.
Through a straightforward and a 24/7 alert and mobilization system, our volunteer teams can quickly offer the following support to those affected:

- Comfort and emotional support
- Reception and information
- Emergency shelter
- Emergency power supply
- Emergency clothing
- Personal services
- Transportation
This agreement allows your municipality to:
- Coordinate a unified response for affected residents.
- Support municipal teams during the initial hours following a disaster.
- Benefit from the expertise of a recognized emergency management organization.
- Distribute financial assistance through a dedicated Canadian Red Cross program within the first 72 hours after a disaster.
