A community is addressing the issue of lack of recreational space for children by building a social hub for youth in Nuuk, Greenland's capital. Red Cross Greenland's youth arm is helping contribute to the project by recruiting young volunteers to help build the space and plans to organize social gatherings and activities for youth at the Nuuk Playground. Volunteers and local youth are currently helping to build a BMX dirt track and other plans for the space include an obstacle course, skater track, and a sandpit to play beach volleyball on.
