Photo Tuesday: Health in Haiti

Every Tuesday, we publish a photo to show Red Cross at work across the province or around the world. Do you have a photo to share? Let us know!

The Canadian Red Cross has partnered with three organizations to reconstruct and strengthen Haiti’s health infrastructures that were badly damaged in the earthquake. This five-year program aims to maximize positive, long-term health outcomes for Haitians by improving access to quality health services for mothers, newborns and children, and by strengthening community resilience in terms of community care and first aid.

The Centre hospitalier universitaire Sainte-Justine, the Direction de santé publique of the Agence de la santé et des services sociaux de Montréal and the Unité de santé internationale at the Université de Montréal are working with the Canadian Red Cross for an integrated health program for Haiti.

This photo was taken when health experts from these partner organizations visited Haiti.
