The Red Cross Round-up

The Round-up offers a weekly sample of what our Sister Red Cross Societies are working on around the world.

TUNISIA: To help maintain a sense of normality during a difficult time, Tunisian Red Crescent volunteers are providing psychosocial support to children who have crossed the border from Libya with their families.

CAMBODIA: The president of Cambodian Red Cross has recently been recognized as a national champion for mother and child health.  She has brought forward several challenges her country is facing, which include limited health budgets, a lack of midwives and medical equipment, as well as basic key health messages reaching those who are most vulnerable and isolated.

LIBYA: Two ICRC medical teams, comprising in all 10 surgeons and nurses, have joined forces with Libyan medical and surgical teams in the cities of Benghazi and Ajdabya who are treating people wounded in the fighting.
