HAITI: Tropical Storm Tomas is predicted to hit Haiti on Friday. This storm has the potential to become a Category 3 hurricane. This comes after a cholera outbreak that has affected thousands in Haiti.
PAKISTAN: Three months on, the flooding continues and millions remain displaced from their homes.
SOUTH EAST ASIA: Mount Merapi, Indonesia’s largest volcano, continues to erupt and displace thousands people. For the past two weeks, 5 countries in South East Asia have been affected by 6 disasters causing widespread devastation.
SOUTH SUDAN: The IFRC has launched an emergency appeal for $2.4 million to mitigate the devastating effects of floods in South Sudan, currently affecting over 50,000 people.
