Ebola One Year On: Thank You For Your Support [Video]

In March 2014, an Ebola epidemic was confirmed in West Africa.
Since the beginning of the outbreak, more than 24,000 cases and 10,000 deaths have been reported.

Ebola has left deep scars on entire communities and countries.

Red Cross Red Crescent has engaged in Ebola preparedness and response activities in 16 African countries. Reaching 39 million people.

44 Canadian medical and support staff have been deployed to the three most affected countries: Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia.

We’re working closely with local Red Cross Societies to end the Ebola outbreak.

Our long-term recovery programming will help restore communities and assist them in becoming more resilient to future epidemics.

To date, the Canadian Red Cross has received nearly $19 million in donations from generous Canadians, corporations and governments to support the Ebola response.

Thank you for your generous support.
