Manitoba Flooding 2014Manitoba Flooding

The recent flooding that has been caused by excessive rainfall, has forced many people, especially in the western Manitoba area, to deal with water in their homes. Some families have been forced to evacuate their homes and communities.

The Canadian Red Cross has stepped up to provide support where it has been required with hygiene kits for people who have been evacuated and clean-up kits to help those people dealing with flooded homes.

The Canadian Red Cross relies on the generosity of Canadians and corporations to support families impacted by disaster. The assistance provided by Red Cross does not duplicate other available assistance or services and is designed to ensure that essential needs are met and families receive the support they need to recover from disaster.
