National Endowment Scholarship Fund

The Canadian Red Cross Society has contributed $750,000 from proceeds of the transfer of its blood services to establish a national endowment scholarship fund. The objective of this award is to provide financial assistance to students registered in a post-secondary program in a recognized Canadian institution whose lives or families were affected by the tainted blood tragedy between 1980 and 1989 inclusively.

The endowment scholarship fund is held by the University of Ottawa, which manages the investment of the non-expendable endowment funds according to its investment policies. The Canadian Red Cross is not involved in the on-going administration of the scholarship.

Additional donations to the fund are gratefully accepted and will be acknowledged and receipted by the University of Ottawa’s Development Office.

For eligibility and application information, please visit the National Endowment Fund webpage on the Ottawa University website.
