Manjit Singh


Manjit grew up in the United Kingdom, with origin from Punjab, India. Manjit is now based in British Columbia and has volunteered with the Canadian Red Cross in various capacities since 2006.
 
He started as a First Aid trainer for the Smart Start Multilingual Injury Prevention Program and has also been involved with the Detention Monitoring Program. Manjit is an active volunteer on the Personal Disaster Assistance and Emergency Response teams and helps to raise funds through the annual Walmart campaign.
 
Manjit is an international medical graduate who has a broad knowledge of humanitarian work at national and international levels. As the president of the Step Alive Emergency Training Centre, Manjit has trained over 15,000 participants in CPR/First Aid in lower mainland Vancouver. Diversity and inclusion are values dear to his heart. 

Manjit has been a voting member for the Canadian Red Cross for the past few years. By continuing as a National Member, he would like to use his frontline experiences to explore avenues that may help to enhance the great work of the Society.
